Bhutan Symposium GENDER Dysphoria Gender dysphoria is clouded by confusion in many societies and has become vulnerable to distortion and despair. In recent years there has been a sharp increase in the number of children and adolescents reporting gender dysphoria. It is in this context that this symposium for Bhutan has been organized. The goal is to equip your leaders and health professionals with information about the multiple facets of this complex disorder to perhaps enable a consensus for care in the best interest of the youth of Bhutan with respect to your culture, religion, and resources. The hope is to prevent, or at least lessen, the divisiveness and harm that have descended upon other countries. The organizers of the symposium realize that some topics and discussions may be sensitive, personal, and contentious and strive to be considerate of speakers and attendees at all times.
