Bradley Bruggeman, M.D. is a Gator through and through: he completed his undergraduate studies and medical degree jointly at the University of Florida as part of the Medical Honors Program, graduating from medical school with honors in research. He then completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Florida. Following completion of residency, he joined the obstetrics and gynecology faculty as an assistant professor in the division of academic specialists in general obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Bruggeman’s primary academic and research focus is in medical education. As a resident he was recognized for his dedication to medical student education on multiple occasions, being awarded UF’s Society of Teaching Scholars Outstanding Resident Teacher Award, the department’s Resident Educator of the Year Award and four Golden Apple teaching awards. He was inducted to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society in recognition for his commitment to education, and in his final year of residency he served as Education Chief Resident. He has presented his research on the third year medical student clerkship at the national level. His clinical interests include abnormal uterine bleeding, management of abnormal Pap tests, pelvic prolapse and incontinence, women’s health maintenance, laparoscopic and vaginal surgery and pregnancy care. |
