Following graduation from the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York, Dr. Mourad matriculated at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center and graduated in 2000. After completion, he joined a prestigious group in the Phoenix area where he practiced for 13 years and held a leadership position.

Dr. Mourad is Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Dr. Mourad is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He is a member of The American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, The American Osteopathic Association, The Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association, Phoenix Obstetrical & Gynecological Society, as well as The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. He specializes in fibroids, endometriosis, heavy periods, cervical incompetence, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, pelvic prolapse, urinary incontinence, ectopic pregnancy, and polyps. It is his passion to provide his patients with the least invasive, yet with the most comprehensive care available. He has a specific interest in large fibroids, endometriosis and cervical insufficiency.

For numerous years he has been recognized as a “Top Doc” by Phoenix Magazine. Over his career he has received various teaching awards including Resident Educator of the Year from the University of Arizona. Dr. Mourad is very active in research projects and has written several publications as well as lectured at national and international presentations. He joined the faculty in 2013 as the Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. Currently Dr. Mourad is Interim Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

He and his wife have three beautiful sons that keep them entertained between soccer, basketball, and swimming lessons. In his spare time, he enjoys playing volleyball, gardening, and playing the Wii. .
