Dr. Joseph Nassif is a Full Professor at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s hospital, in the Minimally invasive gynecological surgery (MIGS) division. He specialized in Ob/Gyn from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon. Then, he underwent a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery in the European Institute of Telesurgery (IRCAD/EITS) in Strasbourg - France. He also has a diploma in medical education, an MBA in Hospital Management, a masters in cellular and clinical sciences and a diploma in Laparoscopic General Surgery.

He joined the American University of Beirut Medical Center as an Associate Professor in the Ob/Gyn department with a secondary appointment in basic sciences as Associate Professor in the Cell Biology and Physiological Sciences before moving to Houston, USA. In the Middle East, Dr. Nassif was the director of the Minimally Invasive Gynecology program as well as a Clerkship director for 8 consecutive years. He performed premiere surgeries in Beirut, like laparoscopic Vecchietti neovagina creation, single port surgery and robotic procedures.

He was the President of the Middle East Society for Endoscopic Surgery (MESGE). His main interests are Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery, hysteroscopy, endometriosis, mullerian malformation, medical education and health care management. He is author of more than 60 articles in well known high impact journals, as well as book chapters, scientific communications and media publication about these topics. He earned many prestigious awards in Medical education, patient care and MIGS. He has been invited to more than 160 international conferences or congresses as a speaker or chair in the fields of endometriosis and minimally invasive surgery.
