Dr. Brooke Thigpen is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, while also playing soccer for the university’s women’s soccer team. She then obtained her medical degree from Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, followed by her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. During her residency training, Dr. Thigpen served as an Administrative Chief Resident. Now as an Assistant Professor, she continues to educate and train residents and fellows.
Dr. Thigpen is dedicated to providing compassionate and evidence-based care to women of all ages. As a specialist in hysterectomy, endometriosis excision and myomectomy, Dr. Thigpen is committed to providing the most minimally invasive surgical approaches, including traditional laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery. Dr. Thigpen has dedicated her career to providing the highest level of care and strives to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for her patients. She adopts a shared decision-making model while valuing her patient's goals of care, ensuring that her patients are well-informed and comfortable with their treatment options.
